York Networks WebFilter technology enables business to benefit from providing staff with Internet access, but without the threat of viewing undesirable content. All attempts to access web content are passed through our filtering system to ensure that only appropriate content is accessible.

A combination of URL category and content filtering technologies are deployed to filter web content. Proscribed websites are placed in one of 20 categories, and filtered as determined necessary by our filtering servers. For sites that have not previously been categorised we utilise active content filtering to decide whether the user should be granted access.
